Congress Venue

The Athens Concert Hall occupies a central location right in the heart of the city. It is situated at the corner of Vas. Sofias Avenue and Kokkali St. This is a location most people know and you’ll find it easy to get to.

How to get to the Athens Concert Hall from around Athens:

  • By taxi | Just inform the driver you want to go to the Athens Concert Hall. No further details needed.

You can also get here by public transport from any part of Athens:

  • By metro |The metro stop “Megaro Mousikis” is located on the blue line. The station entrance/ exit is a two minute walk from the door of the Concert Hall
  • By bus, buses Ε14, Χ14, Α5 and 550 stop right in front of the Concert Hall
  • By electrically driven bus, buses 13, 12, 10 and 3 stop right in front of the Concert Hall

Visitors to Athens can easily find the Concert Hall:

  • From the airport you can take bus Χ95, or take the Metro for a 35 minute ride. The stop is called “Megaro Mousikis”
  • From the railway station, it’s just 30 minutes to the Concert Hall Metro station
  • From Piraeus it’s just a few minutes ride on the Metro.

Badges and Security

It is essential that all participants have to wear their personal badge at all times in Congress areas and during the Social Events, as it is the official entrance pass to scientific sessions. The badge is mandatory for all social events of the meeting.


There is free wireless internet access in all areas of the Concert Hall.


A commercial exhibition is organized during Congress and will be open according to the scientific program.

Attendance Certificate

Attendance certificate will be issued by the General Secretariat and given to the registered participants.


The congress organizer will bear no liability for loss, accident, damage or injury to persons or property irrespective of the cause. The clients participate at all sessions, tours and Events at their own risk.

It is recommended that delegates arrange an appropriate travel and health insurance prior to travelling.

Force Majeure
Unexpected cancellation of the event:

ERA Ltd. organizes the ESOPRS 2016 on behalf of the organizing society. ERA Ltd. reserves itself the right to cancel without notice or compensation the ESOPRS 2016 in the event of force majeure cases (for example, but not limited to acts of nature such as fire, earthquake, hurricane, flood or terrorist attacks). In such cases, ERA Ltd. is freed of all responsibility.

Limitation of liability of ERA Ltd: In the event of it being impossible for ERA Ltd. to carry out the ESOPRS 2016 for force majeure cases, so long as this arises from a cause not attributable to ERA Ltd., ERA Ltd. shall only be obliged to reimburse the payments received subject to deduction of any costs it has incurred in preparing the event. This liability only extends to the payments made directly to ERA Ltd. and not to payments made by the attendees to the hotel or airlines.

Smoking is forbidden by law in public transportation and in public buildings. Smoking is not permitted inside the conference building.

Hot & sunny during the day clear and light breeze during the night pretty much sums up all weather forecasts for the summer in Greece. Historical average temperature is 16 C low – 26 C high.

Voltage/Electrical Current
In Greece electricity is supplied at 230V, 50Hz. Please remember to bring the right power plug adapter with you (especially if you are travelling from the US or the UK). If not, do contact our Contact Secretariat and they will help you out.

Greece uses the metric system of weights and measures. Temperatures are given in degrees Celsius; distances and speed limits are indicated in kilometers; dimensions in meters and centimeters; volume in liters and milliliters; weights in kilograms and grams
